Gjergji Shkurti designs Brooklyn's Million Goods with integrated bar, retail, and hi-fi

Architect Gjergji Shkurti has designed the second Brooklyn location for concept shop Million Goods, blending hospitality and retail elements with custom millwork, marble, and curated furniture.

The Fort Greene space features a red spiral staircase and occupies two levels with a courtyard, offering more room than the original Greenpoint store.

Shkurti described the space as more "regal," highlighting a marble countertop wine bar on the first level. The design separates social areas downstairs from retail upstairs.

The bar area integrates speakers into custom sapele wood casework and a marble bar. Seating includes bar stools and wooden banquet seating.

The ceiling has fabric over wooden slats for sound and lighting dampening. The backyard design draws from Brazilian brutalism with a central planter and integrated seating.

Upstairs is for retail. A Louis Poulsen post is a backyard centerpiece, with the company's lighting used throughout. The facade has red trim matching the front staircase.

A metal stand serves as a point-of-sale and DJ booth. Custom millwork displays goods. Speakers are integrated into voids in a partition wall.
