Fabrizio Corneli Creates Installation for Lindberg Eyewear

Danish eyewear brand Lindberg has commissioned Italian artist Fabrizio Corneli to create a site-specific installation titled 'Enigma of Vision' for the Armory Show in New York City. The installation will also be featured at the West Bund Art and Design in Shanghai.

The installation, which opened on September 24, is a progression of Lindberg's commitment to the arts. It features two interconnected artworks by Corneli, known for his experiments with light and shadow.

The first artwork, 'Seed,' uses a concealed light source that reveals an image of the globe when visitors interact with the sculpture, prompting reflection on humanity's connected future.

The second artwork, 'Eyecatcher,' transforms Lindberg's recognizable glasses frames into sources of striking shadows, a motif in Corneli's work. Together, the pieces express Lindberg's design philosophy of stripping elements to their essentials and exploring how perception is shaped by both what is seen and what remains hidden.

Lindberg, founded in 1986, is known for its lightweight titanium glasses made without screws or rivets. The brand has a history of art collaborations, including previous installations at the Armory Show with artists Letha Wilson and Yuko Nishikawa.

Roberto Vedovotto, CEO of Kering Eyewear (which owns Lindberg), stated that the collaboration with Corneli is a natural extension of the brand's design philosophy, merging technical mastery with artistic expression.
