Budapest's Exchange Palace: From Stock Exchange to Film Set

The Exchange Palace in Budapest, designed by Ignác Alpár, was built between 1902 and 1907 for the Budapest Stock Exchange. After the exchange closed in 1948, the building became the headquarters of Hungarian Television (MTV) for over fifty years.

Following MTV's departure in 2009, the palace remained largely vacant for years, its historic exterior hiding empty spaces and remnants of its past occupants. This contrast between its grand architecture and abandoned state made it a notable sight.
