Innovative Closet Design Dramatically Increases Storage Capacity
A DIY enthusiast has created a novel closet design that significantly boosts storage efficiency by applying principles of space compression.

The creator was inspired by the vast empty space within matter and applied this concept to everyday storage. Observing how rugs are stored by pivoting, they adapted this idea for a coat closet.
The new design features hinged doors and a mechanism similar to blueprint hangers. This allows coats to pivot outwards for easy access without disturbing others and enables compression when the doors are closed.
The redesigned closet, which is smaller than the original, can hold 24 coats with single-hand operation and over 30 with both hands, a substantial improvement over the original's capacity of 10 (single-hand) and 21 (both hands).
Additional cupboards are integrated for storing shoes and hats, and a dedicated space for a robotic vacuum cleaner is also included.
