Dookkuubi Jib Toad House

A couple living abroad decided to build a new home in Seoul's Seochon district, opting for a hanok design despite unfamiliarity with the traditional Korean dwelling.

The project, named "Dookkuubi Jib Toad House," is a collaboration between architects NOMAL and ONJIUM Housing Studio.

The house will have an area of 92 m² and is scheduled for completion in 2026.

The design team includes Minyuk Chai, Bokki Lee, Seyeon Cho, Eungyo Lee from NOMAL, and Bonryol Kim, Chaewon Park, Jaioh Lee, Yeaeun Lee from ONJIUM Housing Studio.

Structural, mechanical, and telecommunication engineering services were provided by Hwan Structural Engineering, Chung lim Mechanical Engineering & Consultant, and Chunil Engineering.co., LTD., respectively.
