David Chipperfield Architects Marks 15 Years of Key Projects
British studio David Chipperfield Architects is celebrating the 15th anniversary of two significant projects: the Hepworth Wakefield gallery and the Turner Contemporary museum. Opened in 2011, these galleries are considered influential to the studio's subsequent work.

The short film, released exclusively with Dezeen, features insights from gallery staff and visitors, highlighting the impact of these institutions.
David Chipperfield Architects stated that the projects represented a "homecoming" for the practice after years of international success.
Both museums have "exceeded expectations" over the past 15 years, according to the studio.
The projects share civic ambitions, timing, and a formal approach characterized by sculptural, monolithic designs that emphasize natural light, influencing later works.
Turner Contemporary employee Katie Barber noted that the museum has spurred a creative revival in Margate, overcoming initial community skepticism.
David Chipperfield Architects, founded in 1985, has also recently transformed a Spanish bank into the Faro Santander museum and is designing the Nobel Center in Sweden.
