Cultural Center in Vaison-la-Romaine by Tectoniques
A new cultural center designed by Tectoniques is set to be completed in 2026 in Vaison-la-Romaine, France. The project is situated on a 1500 m² site previously used for vineyards.

The design draws inspiration from historical architectural forms like the cloister and Roman domus, as well as agricultural structures such as the Provençal mas.
The cultural facility is located in a fragmented peri-urban area with limited public access, leading to an inward-looking design approach.
To create a distinct public space, the building is set back from the plot boundaries, establishing a planted forecourt.
Key collaborators include Atelier LJN for landscape architecture and Gamba for acoustic engineering.
