Comillas Waterfront Promenade

A new public space is being created in Comillas, Spain, transforming a waterfront area previously dominated by a sidewalk and parking lot.

The project, designed by Hector Navarro and ARKHITEKTON, aims to reclaim a significant stretch of coastline for pedestrian use.

Instead of renovating an existing promenade, the intervention establishes a new seafront, integrating it into the town's public spaces.

The project covers an area of 5400 m² and is scheduled for completion in 2026.

Key contributors include Diego Jardinería for landscape architecture and Pedro F. Goicochea for project management.

Manufacturers such as BENITO, PTV Tudela, and Urbidermis are involved in the project.
