Cast Aluminum Heart Forms Sculptural Furniture in LOVE Collection

Istanbul-based designer Sami Savatli has introduced the LOVE collection, a two-piece set featuring a chair and side table that transform the familiar heart shape into sculptural furniture.

The LOVE Chair uses the heart outline as a starting point, but deviates from symmetry and symbolism. The form emerges directly from the chair's structure, with lines extending, dividing, and reconnecting to create a dynamic silhouette and support. Shifts in volume alter the chair's appearance from different viewpoints.

The LOVE Side Table echoes the chair's structural language in a more compact form, featuring a branching design. The two pieces are linked through proportion, rhythm, and construction rather than direct visual repetition.

Both the LOVE Chair and LOVE Side Table are crafted from cast aluminum and individually hand-finished by Savatli in Istanbul. Subtle surface irregularities are preserved, giving each object a unique material character.

The use of aluminum allows the collection to shift between appearing solid and visually light as light moves across its surface, enhancing its sculptural presence.

Positioned between collectible design and sculpture, the LOVE collection maintains furniture functionality while establishing an independent presence in a space.
