Casa POP Renovation in Madrid

A 78 m² apartment in Madrid, originally built in the 2000s, has been renovated by gon architects to better suit its current owners' lifestyle. The project, completed in 2026, challenges the idea of a standard user by adapting the architecture to unique living patterns.

The original layout of the apartment was highly compartmentalized with numerous hallways, reflecting the traditional nuclear family standards of its construction era. This design was deemed obsolete for the current owners, Santiago and Ángel, a couple whose lives prioritize enjoyment, knowledge, and culture.
