Cabreira House by ARE ARCHITECTS STUDIO

A residential project completed in 2020 in Mindelo, Portugal, designed by ARE ARCHITECTS STUDIO.

The design for Cabreira House was shaped by several site-specific challenges. These included strict suburban subdivision regulations regarding setbacks and property lines.

The plot was also influenced by the natural environment, with a eucalyptus forest to the south and the distant horizontal lines of the coastal landscape.

The project aimed to address the long and deep light characteristic of the late afternoon sun.
