Bare Brick House by Yuuga Design Collective

Yuuga Design Collective has designed the Bare Brick House, a 3,560 sq ft residence in Kerala, India, completed in 2026. The design prioritizes integration with its steep rural environment.

The house is situated on a 30-cent plot in Koppam, characterized by paddy fields and dense vegetation. The site rises approximately 10 feet from the main road.

Instead of altering the natural topography, the architects preserved the site's contours. These natural gradients were then used to inform the house's layout and design.

The architecture aims to balance privacy, openness, and climatic comfort while respecting the existing terrain.
