Artist Frederich Kunath's exhibition 'The Nearest Faraway Place' in Seoul merges art historical traditions with contemporary pop culture references, creating vibrant, cinematic paintings.

Kunath's work explores themes of distance and longing, drawing inspiration from Northern Renaissance Weltlandschaft (world landscape) and the 19th-century Hudson River School. His compositions are reminiscent of these traditions but are infused with pop culture elements, such as band logos and phrases like "The End."
