Art at Oaxaca Airport

Oaxaca, Mexico, a region known for its rich indigenous cultures and artistic output, features art exhibits at its international airport, Aeropuerto Internacional de Xoxocotlán (OAX).

The airport, which began its latest renovation in 2019, has showcased art since around 2018, favoring sculpture due to its monumental nature.

Early exhibits featured works by the collective La Barda de Adobe and artist Manuel Miguel.

Subsequent displays have included sculptures from recycled materials by Alberto Aragón Reyes and multicolored animal sculptures by Fernando Andriacci.

From 2024, Patricio Santiago's sculptures, primarily crafted from cantera stone, were featured.
