Are all of these AI safety campaigns part of a big coordinated psyop? Apparently some people are actually being paid to push anti-AI messaging, but I’m not sure if that’s the case in these recent instances. I think it’s more likely that these Anthropic and OpenAI whistleblowers are usually from the alignment and safety sector, so their entire job is to study potential worst-case scenarios.
