Aranya Youyi Bay Community Regeneration

genarchitects has designed the Aranya Youyi Bay Community Regeneration project in Qinhuangdao, China, a mixed-use development featuring a hotel, apartments, and commercial spaces.

The project, completed in 2025 with an area of 1046 m², focuses on 'Growing Through Use' and regenerates a micro-community within Aranya.

The original design featured public spaces organized around plazas, with the hotel and apartments enclosing private courtyards.

These plazas were designed to offer a gradient of atmospheres, transitioning from lively and public to quiet and private as one moved through the space.

Key collaborators include Shengliang Su for photographs, and various consultants for structural, lighting, and landscape development.

The project involved multiple contractors for general construction and facade work.

The principal architects were Fan Beilei, Xue Zhe, and Kong Rui.
