EPFL Appoints New Professors and Promotes Existing Faculty

The Board of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology has announced several new appointments and promotions at EPFL, strengthening key research and teaching areas.

Oliver Edtmair has been appointed Assistant Professor of Mathematics, specializing in symplectic geometry and dynamics. His work addresses fundamental problems in fluid dynamics and magnetodynamics.

Alexandra Henzinger joins as Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Communication Systems, focusing on data protection and privacy. Her research aims to enhance trust in IT systems, particularly for generative AI.
