Apple Opens Music Venue in London's Battersea Power Station
Apple has launched Apple Music Hall, a 600-capacity venue within London's Battersea Power Station, designed for live performances, recording, broadcasting, and production.

The venue aims to host intimate performances that can be simultaneously recorded in Spatial Audio, filmed with multiple cameras, and globally livestreamed. Its design incorporates the industrial heritage of the power station, featuring exposed brickwork and bronze elements, contrasting with Apple's typical aesthetic.
Inside, the compact hall features a stage adaptable for conventional or in-the-round setups, surrounded by a 48-speaker spatial sound system. This setup combines the intimacy of a small venue with advanced production capabilities, offering artists greater control over staging and sound.
Behind the scenes, two recording and mixing studios allow for multitrack capture and Spatial Audio mixing, either live or post-performance. The hall is equipped for over 16 cameras feeding a broadcast control room, enabling simultaneous capture with iPhones and professional cameras.
Performances can be broadcast internationally via Apple's platforms, extending the reach of the 600-person venue. The opening coincides with new Apple Music Radio studios in the same complex, consolidating performance, radio, recording, and video production.
This physical space complements Apple's digital music ecosystem, integrating architecture as both a performance venue and a production hub. The design balances audience-facing elements like brick arches and balconies with the technical infrastructure for global distribution.
