American University in Dubai Showcases Animal-Friendly Urban Pod Designs

The American University in Dubai's Urban Pod initiative challenged students to design public furniture that serves both human and animal needs, resulting in over 110 proposals across multiple courses.

Projects include the "Purch Pod," inspired by UAE dunes, offering seating, shade, and a recessed nook for cats, with a bird perch and hydration point on the canopy edge.
