IR Blaster Project Inside a Walnut Shell

A maker has successfully integrated a small computer and infrared (IR) blaster into a walnut shell, demonstrating the miniaturization of technology.

The project utilizes an ESP32-C3 microcontroller, which is small enough to fit inside a walnut. The walnut shell was prepared by splitting it open, adding small neodymium magnets to hold it closed, and then installing LEDs at various points.

The ESP32-C3 is positioned in the center, ensuring its USB port remains accessible. The LEDs are controlled by the microcontroller to send infrared signals.

This walnut-based device connects to a home automation system. When it receives a command, it uses the LEDs to transmit IR signals to control non-connected devices, effectively acting as a hidden IR blaster.
