Athens Apartment Renovation Replaces Walls with Joinery

A 1970s apartment in Kifisia, Athens, has been renovated by Georgios Apostolopoulos Architects, removing all internal walls to create a continuous living space organized by joinery elements rather than traditional rooms.

The renovation conceives the apartment as a continuous interior where light and movement flow freely. Instead of rebuilding walls, joinery elements define spaces for specific uses without enclosing them, questioning conventional room-making.
