Plastique Fantastique Unveils "auroBOROS" Sculpture on the High Line

A large, metallic spiral sculpture titled "auroBOROS: Urban Memory and Collective Dream" was recently installed on the High Line in Manhattan.

Commissioned by Bulgari for its Serpenti Infinito series, the temporary installation by artists Marco Canevacci and Yena Young of Plastique Fantastique invited visitors to walk through the coil.

The sculpture, wedged beneath a raised building, references the ancient ouroboros motif of a snake eating its tail, symbolizing life cycles and nodding to Bulgari's snake-themed jewelry.

Its placement created a visual tension, appearing to support the overhead structure.

This marks Plastique Fantastique's first exhibition in the U.S.

Previous similar installations include "RINGdeLUXE," an architectonic gold loop that has encircled bridges.
