Beam Camp Seeks 2027 Public Art Project Proposals

Beam Center is inviting proposals for a large-scale public artwork to be created by youth campers and staff during its summer 2027 program. The selected project will serve as the central focus of the four-week camp session.

The project will be realized through collaboration between over 100 young people (ages 9-17), Beam Camp staff, and the chosen proposer. Beam Camp, located in Strafford, NH, is a specialized summer camp focused on building, collaboration, and hands-on skill development.

Each year, Beam Camp solicits proposals for unique and ambitious projects that are technically challenging. The winning designers will work with the camp's Project Team to translate their vision into a reality, built by campers and staff, often becoming the immersive environment for the camp's duration.
