Vectron65 Plus: A Modular 6502 Home Computer Project
Nick Bild's Vectron65 Plus is a home computer project centered around the 6502 processor, featuring multiple expansions that enhance its capabilities.

The Vectron65 Plus utilizes at least one 6502 processor, with expansions like the VGA Plus Text Mode adding a co-processor. Bild has also developed two versions of a VGA graphics card capable of 640x480 output, which can be used independently of the Vectron65.
The project has evolved from its 2019 beginnings, moving from breadboard to PCB and introducing the 65 Plus version with increased RAM and GPIO ports. Previous iterations even supported VR gaming.
The newer V2 VGA card doubles the RAM of its predecessor and offers more stable output. It can work with the Text Mode card to display 40-column text without burdening the main 6502 CPU, offloading the task to the card's own 6502 and a character ROM.
The project demonstrates various applications, including a Hackaday Comment Generator running in BASIC. The 2026 Retrocomputing contest, where this project is a contender, features multiple categories for participants.
